Description

Important Key Features

  • Superior Mechanical Properties: TINMORRY PLA-CF 1.75 mm PLA filament is stronger and stiffer than standard PLA, making it ideal for engineering parts and models requiring impact resistance.
  • Unique Texture & Matte Finish: The matte surface effectively hides layer lines, giving your prints a smoother, professional-grade appearance.
  • Dimensional Stability: Compared to traditional PLA 1.75 filament, PLA-CF shrinks less, ensuring a perfect fit for printed parts with minimal warping.
  • Easy Support Removal: Self-supporting design makes support removal easy and reduces the risk of damage, leaving smooth support surfaces.
  • High-Speed Printing: This filament allows for speeds up to 300mm/s without clogging, ensuring smooth and stable performance for efficient filament 3D printing.

What Sets TINMORRY PLA-CF Apart from Others

TINMORRY’s 3D Printing carbon fiber filament is a go-to choice for users looking to achieve enhanced structural performance with ease. Unlike basic materials, this composite offers increased rigidity and impact resistance, making it well-suited for functional prototypes, mechanical components, and end-use applications.

The subtle matte finish not only reduces post-processing needs but also gives your prints a clean, professional appearance immediately after printing.

Whether you’re building strong brackets, custom tools, or durable models, TINMORRY’s carbon fiber PLA filament brings together performance and printability.

From engineers to everyday creators, it enables advanced builds on standard desktop printers without the warping or complexity of tougher materials.

With high-speed printing capability and exceptional stability, TINMORRY PLA-CF 1.75 mm PLA filament is a versatile choice for those who demand quality, performance, and style in their filament 3D printing projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

PLA carbon fiber filament is a composite 3D printing material made by infusing standard PLA with finely milled carbon fibers. This results in a filament that is stiffer, stronger, and more dimensionally stable than regular PLA while still being lightweight and easy to print. Key benefits include excellent layer adhesion, low warpage, a matte black finish, and improved impact resistance. It is ideal for applications where rigidity and structural support are crucial, such as drone frames, RC parts, and functional prototypes.

PLA-CF (PLA with carbon fiber) stands out due to its enhanced stiffness and strength compared to standard PLA. It features minimal warping, superior surface quality, and excellent dimensional stability. However, it is more abrasive and slightly more brittle, requiring a hardened nozzle for extended printing. It is especially valued for projects where strength, rigidity, and a matte surface finish are desired.

For carbon fiber PLA filament, the typical print settings are:

  • Nozzle temperature: 190–230 °C
  • Bed temperature: 40–60 °C (heated bed optional)
  • Print speed: 30–80 mm/s
  • Cooling: 50-100% part cooling fan
  • Nozzle: Use a hardened or wear-resistant nozzle due to the abrasive nature of carbon fibers

Pros:

  • Easy to print with standard PLA settings
  • High strength and stiffness
  • Matte finish and minimized layer lines
  • No significant warping
  • Excellent dimensional stability

Cons:

  • Abrasive-can wear out brass nozzles quickly
  • Slightly more brittle than regular PLA
  • Difficult to post-process (e.g., sanding)
  • Requires hardened nozzle for long-term use

Yes, due to the abrasive nature of the carbon fibers, it is highly recommended to use a hardened steel nozzle or other wear-resistant nozzles (like ruby or tungsten carbide) when printing with PLA Carbon Fiber filament. Standard brass nozzles tend to wear down quickly, resulting in inconsistent extrusion and print quality issues.
